No, I’m not talking about the election. I’m talking about revival. I truly believe if there has ever been a time we need revival, this is the time. I also firmly believe that the church is primed for revival like never before just as the lost are primed for receiving the gospel as never before. Even the most spiritually blind know we need some sort of change and they know that everything in this world has failed them.
Unfortunately, most folks have become distracted by looking towards man and government for their answers. They need to be reminded and know that Jesus is our only answer to the problems we face and our only true hope. No other man has ever been, nor ever will be our hope; only Jesus. I strongly dislike the fact that abortion and other laws that dishonor God are the law of the land. However, if the heart of the mother is transformed through the power of the gospel it doesn’t matter what the law of the land is. Morality cannot be mandated or legislated. Morality can only come from a personal relationship with Jesus. It is the churches responsibility to introduce this lost and dying world to Jesus, not the governments. Therefore, only the church can bring about true change. And, I firmly believe that only a revived church will take this mandate seriously.
So, imagine how great of a revival this nation would see if those who are called by God’s name started seeking His face for revival and spiritual awakening as intensely as they have sought after a mere, mortal, powerless man. Imagine a nation of God’s people, who are called by His name, humbling themselves, praying, seeking His face, and turning from their wicked ways.
We don’t have to imagine the results of this, nor wait for the news to announce them. God already told us what the results would be. He said, He would hear from heaven, forgive our sins, and heal our land. (II Chronicles 7:14) Lets not imaging, lets believe God and do it!!! Are you in? Please share and ask others to join, not us, but God.
